Daffodils by Mary Murphy, artist. Daffodils is an abstract original hand painted landscape oil painting on canvas 18" x 18" with a 1.25" black frame. It was created en plein air (French for "open air") and captures the emotions of nature and brings them to you for your enjoyment. The painting is playful, somewhat abstract and contemporary in style, with expressionism overtones.
It was painted along the beautiful Pokomoke River in Snow Hill, MD, in April at the annual Paint Out competition. This is an abstract painting, but fun to see with its strong colors. this would be great for a nursery or child's room because of the bright colors and simple lines.
