Along the Path by Mary Murphy, artist. Along the Path is an original hand painted abstract landscape oil painting on canvas 18" x 18" with a 1.25" black frame. This colorful, painting was created en plein air (French for "open air") to capture the emotions of the landscape and bring them to you for your enjoyment. It is contemporary in style with expressionism overtones.
It was painted at the beautiful Lakes Regional Park in downtown Fort Myers, FL. Lakes Park is a large park and has several play areas for children and picnic areas for families. There is also a small train for adults and children in single seats and uncovered. Its whistle warns pedestrians to "look both ways before crossing". A small water park is great fun for the children. This painting could serve as a reminder of a wonderful day at Lakes Park or any other park that has water running through it. It could also be paired with Three Islands II for a larger presentation.
